ik this isnt a question about tarantulas but i know that a lot of people here own geckos or other lizards so i thought that this would b a good place to go...anyways im here in florida for worldcup (paintball) and one of my team mates caught a gecko and wants to take care of it for our stay here then let em go. i told him to put him in a cup (i know not the best idea he should b in a large teperwear container but we dont have one atm) and put some plastic wrap over it and shut it with a rubber band then poked some holes in it, right now hes out side so he has the heat/humidity he needs and then we put a banana in there so that it will attract nats (iv done this before, u put plastic wrap over a container and then poke holes in there then put a banana in there and the nats can smell were the fruit is through the holes but they cant smell it back out, my mom used this to get rid of a nat problem in our house a couple of weeks ago) and thought well this would b the beast way to take care of him. we should b going to target sometime soon so if there is anything you can tell me to take care of him/ get him to make his life better then please let me know, no substraite is in this cage as of yet...

That's an extremely stressful situation to expect a gecko to thrive in.
It will die in there shortly with poor ventilation and rotting fruit.

Let it go if you are not prepared to set it up correctly.
