I have a friend who has some extra striped/texas bark scorpions and was curious as to what would be the ideal enclosure size dimension wise and while I'm on the subject does anyone know of sources for the Florida bark scorpion (Centruroides gracilis) and/or California forest scorpions (Uroctonus...

Most bark scorpions have similar care requirements.
Back when I was 15-16 I kept many different species of bark scorpions. Their care is very similar amongst each other. Like @Poonjab said the florida bark scorpions were very docile and reclusive when kept by themselves. I like to keep my enclosures very basic so my setup consisted of a glass enclosure with ventilation, cork bark pieces (for the scorpion to hide under and sit on), thicker sticks that are not high up (so they can climb around and avoid damage if they fall), and a small water dish. For substrate I used a mix of playbox sand and coconut fiber (eco earth), but used more sand than the eco earth, I'd say 60/40 or 70/30 ratio. You can probably also include some rocks in for decor. I'd avoid heat lamps since scorpions don't necessarily enjoy light and are nocturnal, invest in heat pads. Overall an easy scorpion to take care of. Avoid getting stung because it can be a hospital trip depending on how your body reacts, everyone's system is different just play it safe.
