Looks like Urs

in all the years of owning Ts I’ve never heard or seen a confirmed fungal infection

So far, its in the right place to be UrS depending on the species.

yeast/fungal would look different.

it still looks a bit crusty. But for now, i dont think this is an issue to worry. And definitely not intervene. Just keep an eye and monitor progress with notes.

if it gets bigger in a worse way, and you posts pictures, people will ask tons of questions. So if you have a record of the evolution, it helps everyone.

its a valid question for the tarantula chat, and i think it could also have been in discussion and questions.

Thank you for answers, i noticed this just today, i will watch it and lets hope it stays as it is now.
The species is grammostola pulchripes.
So far she is very good girl and has no problems at all, when she had flicked her hairs before molting, it looked different, so I got little scared when i saw this😅

I'd say that's just hairs. My G. pulchra has the same thing, and it's from going through a bit of a skittish period. He hasn't kicked enough to get a bald spot, but it loosened some of the hairs so it just looks a bit gnarly but isn't anything to worry about.

Okay, thank sm. It is my first own tarantula. I was so happy when i get her and i would be very worried if something was wrong with her.
If something goes wrong about this spot, i will keep you updated.

You picked the perfect species for your own first tarantula. I have 4 pulchripes 🤪 i love them. Get to learn all these little details. You will become a great keeper.

At first i wanted some brachypelma, after that i saw grammostola rosea and i felt in love, but in czechia (maybe even elsewhere) it is very hard to get rosea, so i decided to get pulchripes and it was the right decision!❤ she is very calm and good…when she had her first molt in her new home i was very nervous but it went very well! She is gorgeous and she makes me very happy, but it is like addiction, i want moore and more😅

of course you do. Seeing how many people on the board and online have big collections. And how species are finding their way on the market every other day, it creates needs.

thats where its important to take a step back and evaluate our needs.
