Fishing Spider, Huge!

Caught this a t night, half on the water, half on the dock. Fasinated many people watching. Am caring for it at the moment. It likes little roaches. Please comment!

I think you have a Dolomedes scriptus female someone correct me if its Dolomedes tenebrosus.

Yes a very impressive spider, and it floats too. Make sure it has enough water to drink, this speices does not hunt on the water surface as much as Dolomedes triton so it can be kept fairly terrestrially environment if you want. Nice find.

Good ol dock spider

Heard numerous cottage horror stories of these.

Didn't think much of them until I grabbed one, and realized the fangs are comparable to a tarantulas.

Impressive native spider.
