first time witnessing a molt

Just caught my versicolor mid molt. This is her first molt in my posession. When do you think I should try to recover her molt? Shes webbed up pretty good so the pics aren't that great but here you go.

i would let her harden up a bit

I would wait at lest 24 hrs. unless I start to see mold. Use tweezers to pull it out, being ever so careful, and not wreck the web to much. Be sure it does not have a toe stuck or something before you start to pull

Congrats on your first molt! Fun, isn't it?

Looks like she really enveloped herself in webbing! I use tweezers (as 8by8 suggested) when pulling molts, it's easier to grab the exo this way than by using your fingers.

If you really want to wait for the safty of the T.. Just let it push the molt out of the webbing.. This is what most of my T's do.. I have not seen any mold from the time of the molt to the time they push it out..
