First Lynx Spider?

Hello again. I think I have caught my first lynx spider. My app is saying it's a Western Lynx spider (Oxyopes scalaris), but several sites show them not being in NC. Also, the coloration looks different. Can anyone confirm what kind he is? It looks like he's a male with only one boxing glove. I would like to keep him. At least for a while, but I can't find anything anything much on their lifespan or care. Let me know what you guys think.

The sites I found weren't very consistent with distribution. Much less with other information, unfortunately.
