My G.rosea, Adriane passed last night.
I put him in an ICU last night just to make sure, and I checked on him this morning. Smelled dead.

I don't feel too broken up about it--he lived a year, maybe year and a half after hooking out. I don't remember exactly when that was.

Ah well.

Sorry for your loss. At least, in your case, it was a natural part of his life.

Thanks Joe.

I had some doubts about COD, but looking more into it--just old age is all I can conclude. Anything thing else seems marginal at best, and I'm not curious enough to perform an autopsy.

And in case anyone notices--I did kind of make another topic about this in Q&D, but that one is more goal-oriented and has a specific question in mind. This one is more for me to mourn my first T's passing.

EDIT: Funny anecdote. I thought my cat was comforting me by being all cuddly, but it turned out he was just hungry.

Aww sorry to hear :( Losing one is never fun.. but, atleast for me, it's easier to lose one of old age

Sorry mate
the more spiders you keep and the longer you have kept them for......it is going to happen.
The only downside to spider keeping as far as I am concerned.....losing them.
Unless we all want to keep mainly female baboons, L.paras and the like......it is going to happen and even then they will not live forever.....just normally longer than our dogs.

Sorry to hear that. At least it was a more natural process and not from nematodes, accident, bad molt, etc. Must be more peaceful...in a spider sense..
