I have 2 and I have only feed them crickets and floating food stix. I would try but make sure the worms can not get out in to your tank. If the toads stay in with the worms they could get eaten by the worms.

Moved from the insects section:

I think they'd swallow a mealworm whole without much crushing (being hard-shelled and all). I've heard that the tales of mealworms burrowing out of sick or weak animals are exaggerated, but I'd say play it safe anyway.
Even without those horror stories, there are matters of indigestibility and gut impaction. The still-soft skin of white mealworms is more easily broken and/or digested, I think. I've had no probs with them, at least.

On toad coloration: I've heard that Bombina might gain some of their colour from naturally occuring food, though I'm not sure if that would apply to the green as well as the underbelly. I think there are aquarist supplements to help boost the colour of fish, but I don't know anything about them, including if they're safe or usable for amphibians.
Or maybe try a little UV light.
It probably depends on species, too. B. orientalis is generally brighter than B. bombina and B. variegata. Do a google image search to see what I mean.

I dunno... My yellow-belly almost always stayed in the water, and I kept it at room temp. Perhaps it's the time of the year, and though it's probably not cold enough to hibernate, it prefers to stay on the land.

I don't think it's a serious problem, though. Not unless the toad's obviously declining.
