got what I've always wanted. Well, I took the plunge. I got a 10' male Albino Burmese Python :) Along with that, some lady GAVE me a pair of 2 free sub-adult Red Tail Boas. I'm giving the male to my friend and keeping the female. I'll have pictures up sometime this week.

I envy you. I think Albino Burms are beautiful but have never been able to justify getting one.

I'm letting him settle in, so here's some crappy pics from last night with Otis(the burmese), me, and my friends.

Very nice! Just don't handle him by yourself! lol

And be sure to post pics of your soon-to-be-new-addition. ;)

word of advise....keep rubbing alcohol around and soak a rag in it b4 handiling it by yourself in case it does constrict just put the rag over the nose and they will let go....trust me when they constrict it can be very hard to get them off, especiall with 5000lbs per square inch of pressure..awsome snake though

He's a male I can reassure you. Also, he is kind of fat, his scales are folding over in a few parts of his neck.

Thanks alot for the comments and tips everyone. I will definately respect and cherish this guy like no other. He is definately a puppy dog though. :)

what kind of risk is there of them constricting? 5k lbs per square inch sounds like a disaster

well 5000lbs per square inch was measured on a 24 foot specimen.....and also they are always unpredictable..it could be going smoothly and bam...they constrict...usually due to not washing food scent off your hands or even hunger....they get big fast, and never really "stop" growing, also my male grew faster than my female but i hear females get larger eventually....only constricter i wouldnt own is a reticulated python simply because they get way to large.....and i learned the alcohol trick from a zoologist when i donated my pair to the dickerson park zoo here in springfield, thats how they make them release...
