Well I finally got my 3rd package!! It had 3 P. regalis slings and 2 P. murinus slings.. All were in transit for 5 days!! And alive!! {D Was not the shippers fault dang USPS had delays! But all in all these little guys/gals are amazing! I am soo happy they are here.. I didnt take pictures or video of them.. I thought I would let them get settled in so they can relaxe amd calm down some... Will have some pictures and a video up maybe a couple days after they settle..

I'm so glad to hear that this package made it alive. I spent the whole weekend concerned about it but I was most certain that I had done well enough after a couple years of experience in shipping that they were gonna be fine.

I can't wait to see video - you should do it to that song I emailed you.

They're P. murinus??, I shipped 'em out.
Not doubting you, but P. murinus comes in a couple of different flavors.

Yes she is, LOL!!!! P. murinus comes in 2 color forms.....RCF (better known as the OBT / Usumbara Red), and TCF (true color form, I believe / aka: Mombasa Golden Starburst). Because of Jairi and her P. chordatus DCF, and www.baboonspiders.de , anytime I hear Pterinochilus anything I automatically want to know what color form it is. {D

Touche. Okay, I'll go on the record here then - Tommy, drumroll? OBT, as in Orange Bitey Thing - yep, it's the RCF not the TCF; RCF is cooler ;P

Rasputin are you 100% sure that you want to claim that they are the RCF?? XSYORRA as a valid point on the color forms.. I have read about TCF and the RCF the TCF is going to be orange.. I just want to make sure you are 100% soo I dont get miss labeled critters IF I deside to breed later on in the future..

Ahem:
http://www.baboonspiders.de/html_en/genera_pterinochilus.html#farbvarianten_murinus:
  • P. murinus TCF: typical colour form
Named after the colouration of the type, different pale beigecolouration, sometimes with a greenish sheen, long setae on legs and abdomen pale pink.
  • P. murinus RCF: red colour form
Long and short setae red/orange, often sold as P. mamillatus or P. spp. "usambara"
  • P. murinus UMV: Usambara Mountains variant
Probably a natural intergrade between TCF and RCF (but more close to TCF). Their coloration is more intensive yellow/pale orange than TCF.
  • P. murinus DCF: dark colour form
Coloured general darkgrey, partial black. Carapace gold/yellow with dark radial striae - those are not as intensive as P. murinus TCF. Rarely seen and not in the hobby. The abdominal pattern are the same in all colour variations.

Ewww, Google's great and all but I wouldn't trust a care sheet from them with my spare change. Sorry Tommy, I don't know anyone with boring grey bitey things right now - but if you find slings, let me know and I'll pick myself a few up for future breedings.
