Finally Hatching

They are finally hatching! The coneheads are coming out! These guys are the coolest lizards in my opinion! I lived in a van for 2 years and 2 of these lizards lived with me and my boyfriend! The babys are awesome, and not just cause they are so damn cute either! View attachment 50757

Beautiful lizard.. and here I go thinking I have seen most of the weirder species.. I really like the bone structure of their heads.. So I am guessing you bred them?..how many females laid all of those eggs, cause that is a fairly large clutch.. Keep up the good work:clap:

They are so adorable! Love their snout. The only type of lizard I have is a Bearded Dragon ( but I love him !! )

That is a cool looking lizard but I've never heard of them before. How big do they get?

The scientific name of these guys are Lamaenctis longipes. Right now I have 5 females and 1 male (pretty lucky guy). So far there have been 13 hatchlings, with only one casualty.
The one female that lived in the van with us is going on her 4th clutch! I'm almost getting worried about her. After each clutch she just looks so miserable! I know how it feels after having one baby, I couldn't imagine going through 3 1/2 rounds (with 3 to 6 babies at a time!) :worship:
