Ok folks update ,I thought he had two so I had planned on buying the second one ,but he only had one ,oh by the way I purchased my One inch sling from
Kenthebugguy ,I plan on buying at least 11 more P Metallica in the next few months ,and next week am going to be ordering a bunch of aboreal cages from tarantulacages.com ,I also wil be getting some of adams XL terestrial cages for my T Blondi collection, I am switching all my cages to acrylic they look so nice ,next week will be a very busy week for me. I would like to breed P Metallica and alot of the other hard to find aboreals that are sought after in the hobby. The aboreals are so beautiful.

Actualy the Tarantula hobby is a great deal cheaper than herps ,I used to keep ball pythons ,and these could cost you thousands per animal, I look forward to purchasing many more P Metallica

yeah no kidding, I use to be into cars and a decent set of cyclinder heads would set you back close to 2g's. I have no qualms paying 150 bucks for a sling.

Yeah I agree, tarantulas are relatively a cheap hobby. My other hobby is also auto repair. If you classify those who have auto repair as a hobby into different groups, I fall into the "extreme preventative maintenance" group. I don't try to top the horsepower charts or win races. I just notice a scratch on the AC drier and decide to replace the whole AC system. (OK, I haven't done that yet, but it would be a great example.) Common though, if I buy a car, ALL fluids will be flushed (I don't know when the last time they flushed the brake fluid was or anything else.) I'll also read forums and anything mentioned as "common" on the forum gets replaced. I have new battery cables coming for my F250 to install soon. Cost? About $200. (And I had to sit on a waiting list for a while just to get the privilege to order!) I probably spend on average $500/month on auto related stuff, and nowhere near that on tarantulas. This year, I've rebuilt the front suspension on my F250, done the head gasket on my tbird for the third time (this time with ARP head studs, so hopefully it's the final time. Block is fine.) Replaced a bumper on the F250, the headlights and turn lights, new door mirrors, etc... Extreme maintenance. And I don't drive anywhere at the moment either being unemployed. Probably put 1k miles on my cars since April.

Sweet man, buy them all small. That way you will have a good handle of things once they are all mature.

congrats! I got my first sling a month ago. Great spider.

You are very lucky. I really hope these breed more in the hobby. P. subfusca are very cool too, but no blue.

Make sure you do your homework on these,
even experts are trying to work out kinks with successful pairings..
and/or start breeding projects with an easier sp. :)

Just thoughts... not trying to start something like in that thread a few weeks back!!

Have fun, and good luck :)

Ha, he won't heed your advice. We saw that in the thread you are referring to. I'm pretty sure the whole thing was deleted, but I could be wrong.

Either way, grats on the spider, dougle.

P Metallicas are meant to breed or reproduce like in other T or organism on this earth,if they were not obvisously they would not exist,so the hard part is creating the right artificial enviorment so that they can do so! and believe me I plan on doing this, everything worth achieving comes with risk ,thats just a part of life and progress. So for those of you who have sucessfuly bred these Ts please your advice is more than welcome, for those of you who have nothing postive to say keep your mouths shut! Thank you all :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
