Congrats on your purchase they are great additions that don't receive quite as much attention as they should!!

Did you get slings or larger individuals?

Nice! I found a H chilensis on craigslist (of all places!) a year ago and the guy happened to be selling a B baumgarteni as well so I grabbed it too. It was a 2 hour drive to get the chilensis so I got the B baumgarteni kinda just to make the trip more worthwhile, but wow I cannot complain. One of the prettiest tarantulas in my collection and pictures just don't do them any justice. You made a great choice.

I got slings. The baumgarteni is 3/4" to 1" and the schroderi is maybe 1/2"

It was to reduce shipping cost as someone said and baumgarteni have been not widely available and neither has the schroderi .

Makes sense on shipping. Not sure what widely available means... but I’ve seen them often.

I actually had one but then my animals knocked over its container and my husband didn't put the lid on well. As of recently I knew only at leas 3 that had them but never had the schroderi with it
