hey guys, just got my finishing supplies in.. I ordered another ESU controller and another UTH to maintain proper cool side temps, my room temp seemed to be draining the cool side way too low. Esp. during the night. The only thing is that im kinda disappointed because i got a Desert UTH from exo-terra instead of the rainforest one (i found out after i ordered that they have 2 different kinds)

My viv is composed of the following;
2 ESU temp. controllers (not as good as ranco, or johnsons but for 25 dollars you cant go wrong)
Flexwatt UTH
Exo-terra UTH
2 ESU small hides
ESU dig thermometer w/ probe
Flukers Dig thermometer/hydrometer
shreaded aspen
water bowl

Snakes do not need UV light so therefore he can provide the heat they need to digest and grow. Snakes are nocturnal so they are used to not having light. When they do bask in the sun, they soak up the heat. That is why you need the heat mats.

Good looking set-up! Just be sure to remove the snake from its enclosure when you feed it so as to not ingest any of the aspen. :)

good job, i never thought of two hides for them. I use one but now I am going to add one to the cool side and put one on the warm side. Good pics.

what size is the enclosure? how does it lock? what brand is it? I keep my adult male ball python in a 2' square by 4' tall reptile enclosure. there is a 4' long thick piece of sandblasted grapewood that he loves to climb all over.

its from the container store .. its a boot box 22 x 16x 6 just about. And the lid snaps on..

BTW GUYS THE ESU CONTROLLERS THAT IM CURRENTLY USING FOR MY SET UP ARE FOR SALE WITH A FOOT OF FLEXWATT (UNDER TANK HEATER) PRE WIRED AND READY FOR USE. THE ITEMS ARE ONLY A WEEK OLD SO THEY ARE BRAND NEW. THE REASON FOR THIS SALE WAS UNPLANNED AND IM JUST LOOKING TO GET A DIFFERENT UNIT TO CONTROL A RACK. I PURCHASED THE ESU UNITS FOR $34 EACH AND $8 FOR THE FLEXWATT WITH THE WIRING SUPPLIES. IM SELLING EVERYTHING FOR $65.
