The Philippines seem to have more issues in general, with mislabeled spiders, and hybridization...although I am sure there are some reputable vendors about. Not from the Philippines but I couldn't see why there'd be an issue. Unless there's some restrictions or they're not packaged well, there's not a lot different from other countries, right?
If you have papers than I guess you can. If you are shipping locally, local couriers would be a better option. Are there any filipino tarantula keepers here?
Just wanted to ask if anyone tried to ship ts thru PHLPOST?
Our tarantula group in the PH also highly discourage hybridization of tarantulas. I think the more prominent issues here are there are ignorant keepers (mostly beginners), but we try our best to help them, and "scam" sellers. The Philippines seem to have more issues in general, with mislabeled spiders, and hybridization...although I am sure there are some reputable vendors about.
Most local couriers here doesn't allow shipping live animals. So it's hard to buy ts from another place here. Not from the Philippines but I couldn't see why there'd be an issue. Unless there's some restrictions or they're not packaged well, there's not a lot different from other countries, right?
Sure is! Lots of new local species being described by a local group of enthusiasts/researchers with the help of people submitting samples.Have you tried using DLS?
Wish I can visit Philippines again one day!!! I’ll go trail hunting in search of t’s. There’s still a lot of undiscovered species over there I think.
