Okay, I know this is no big deal to you pros, but it's a major milestone for me as a newbie...

Fifi had her first meal in my care!

When we got her about 2 weeks ago, I tried feeding her four crickets, and they just chased her out of her hide. I put her in her new enclosure last weekend, and last night I put two crickets into her cage. Got up this morning, and there are no sign of the crickets! (A little eerie, like when the goat just disappears in Jurassic Park. I'm hoping I won't get into my car only to have a bloody cricket leg land on the sunroof.) So either the crickets are escape artists, or Fifi had a meal!

She does seem a little more active this morning -- she's reacting more to movements of her cage, walking into her hide, etc. Before she sat around a whole lot. Is that a coincidence, or are they more active after they eat?

Thanks --
Aaron

Look for the remaining of your crix. It may be burrowing somewhere. I had a case of a stupid crix digged itself into the soil underneath the waterbowl and was stuck there.

Fifi is a rosea. As for length -- I'm not sure, what is the proper way to measure? Legs stretched out? As she normally stands, she's probably... oh, I don't know... tarantula sized! :)
