Female jumping sipder won't mate?

More than 4 weeks ago I tried to breed my jumping spiders. Male is much smaller than the female but I thought breeding was successful. Female still didn't lay eggs so I tried to mate them again. This time, she was running away from him. He manages to get on top of her a few times, but everytime she just runs. Does anyone know why she won't mate and is it possible that she is pregnant but just didn't laid an egg sac after 4 weeks?
