My female A.New River molted finaly, so I took some pics....I think this Sp is just gorgeous!

I love them to!!! only bad thing about this molt is she was gravidStunning Rob!She really has the color now, reminds me of a moderatum!
My female new river and my female A.flagstaff orange are two of my fav's!
She was....she was bred 9X and her abdomen gained 2X the mass in 1 month!! she just didn't lay!!!Just out of curiosity, what made you think she was gravid? She looks pretty normal for a post molt Aphonopelma sp., IMO.
That really doesn't explain much. If she was gravid, and her abdomen was as large as you described, she wouldn't lose that much mass from a molt, her abdomen would still be most of the size it was before. Assuming she was gravid, her eggs would still make up a large portion of her abdomen, and she just doesn't lose the mass of the eggs when she molts. What I'm getting at is that molts don't take away a T's 'gravidness', they just take away the sperm, thus any eggs layed would be infertile. IMO, she doesn't look gravid, she looks exactly like my well fed Aphonopelma sp. "New River" female post molt. I'm willing to bet that she was just well fed, as I assume you fed her quite well to promote the growth of eggs. She was....she was bred 9X and her abdomen gained 2X the mass in 1 month!! she just didn't lay!!!
First off I can tell when a T is gravid, The pics are just taken by a good camera....and whats with the tude??? Not that I care just wondering. I thought you had the Flu??? Why haven't you shipped my Isopods??? I shipped your Ornata out almost a month ago and all I get is excusesThat really doesn't explain much. Also, another thing, why can't you just stick to one picture thread, instead of making a new thread every time a T molts? Another thing about your photos, what do you do them them? The color looks very enhanced, and it's kind of deceiving / hurts my eyes.
I am well aware....they re-absorb the eggsshe just doesn't lose the mass of the eggs when she molts.
PM me your number and I'll get back to you right now if that's cool. Sorry, I never heard my phone ring...for future reference you should expand you aperture a little bit. the higher it is the broader the depth of field is. it just seems too narrow to see alot of detail all over the spider.
I should expand a little for clarification, from how zoomed you are I would assume your using an aperture of about 2.8? I would do about 5.6 or closer to 8 and youll get the entire spider in focus. unless you want certain parts out of focus, your taking the pics.
Also Rob, I emailed you via arachnophiles and tried calling your contact # if you could get back to my email Id appreciate it. Been watching alot of your youtubes and they are very helpful
