Any tips on how to feed an arboreal species without a web. I have an avicularia avicularia that is usually difficult to feed because it has no web and stays on the wall of the enclosure.

You might want to use a tweezer holding a feeder insect, and bring it near to your tarantula so it can snatch it from you!

Let's see a pic of that container it's in.... It's unusual for an Avic, in fact, I dare say unnatural for a captive Avic not to web at some point. How long have you owned it, and how long in its CURRENT container?

It's a good way for a T to damage fangs. Damaged/missing fangs don't equal death, but it sure puts a T onto the road of death depending up on the owner and the T itself.

Is it because T. might miss the actual target and bite the metal tweezer instead?

I would be concerned that there aren't enough anchor points in the enclosure for the avic to make a web. Agree with @viper69 that pictures of the enclosure will be helpful to make sure your avic is in a good environment so they can thrive.

Sometimes they will come down for food. You can leave it at the bottom and they will go get it if they are hungry.

Yeah, you need to be really careful attempting to tong feed for that reason, they will usually come down to ground level to hunt if you just dump the prey in (or the prey item will eventually climb something and get snagged).

If you have to tong feed you can grab the prey item by a leg/wing and dangle it in such a way that there is less risk of the T tagging the tongs by mistake.

drop in crickets and walk away. The t will eventually find them. When the t does finally molt, it will web its self inside a tube at an elevated position, so roaming crickets aren't the issue they are with most genera.

With roaches just crush heads and leave nearby, their wriggling will eventually attract the t, and they live and wiggle for days. You are right though, so easy when they have a nice web tube or platform.
