Feeding Wild Spiders

So I have one sling...only about an inch. I have a selection of food for a varied diet but it also means I have a RIDICULOUS surplus of feeders.
I have been feeding some of the wild spiders in my garden as I don't want the feeders to go to waste...does anyone else do this? (No invasive species or those that could thrive here, just in case it escapes from the web). I like think I'm helping them out a bit, especially going into the colder months.

Am I odd for doing this? My best travelled spider (been living on my wing mirror for months) has been benefitting from this too...almost want to catch that one and make it a pet through the winter as become quite attached to her companionship over my travels this spring and summer

Used to do this all the time as a kid, still do from time to time if I find a really cool spider somewhere. Weird to other people for sure, but so is keeping tarantulas anyway.

Well speak for yourself lol, people may think the hobby is weird, but I do not get the same comments.
