Feeding the mother a large lizard?

My mother still has babies on her back, and the place I usually buy crickets from is out for a while. If I killed a lizard from outside and put it near her, would she tear it apart and feed the babies or reject it? I can go to a different store to get crickets, but it's kind of a drive. I will if I have to, but would rather not.

Then how are the babies going to get food? I know they get nutrients from the mother but wouldn't she eventually eat them?

1i babies have embryos inside them that they feed off of. Once they molt into second instar they no longer have those, and will need to be fed. A mother Pandinus imperator will actually take care of her young, and if she eats a couple, it would be the ones she doesn't think will survive.

DO NOT FEED HER A LIZARD FROM OUTSIDE! The odds are very high that the lizard will have pesticides/herbicides that were ingested when it ate the local insects. Very few places now days are totally pesticide/herbicide free. And if they were, there is still a greater possibility that there could be parasites or bacteria that could adversely affect your scorpion and her babies. Until the babies leave her back, they are still getting all the nutrients they need from yolk that is still being absorbed. The mom doesn't feed them while they are still on her back. Some species will kill and crush up prey for their babies once they off her back and feeding on their own.
