I have a problem feeding pinkies to large T's.... I just can't do it....call me soft or whatever. Soooo, what can you suggest? Anoles? Is there any particular type of large roach that is universally found tasty by all T's? I am under the impression that some T's do not care for hissers. Thanks for your suggestions!

As far as roaches go, you can try Blaptica dubia, or something similar. You could also just stick with crickets. Throw in a handful and you're set. I don't like using vertebrates as prey, so that's what I do with my larger spiders.

How large of a T are you talking about? Unless it's a 12 inch blondi, I can't see why anything other than the normal size prey (but just a bit more of it) wouldn't be sufficient, especially if you start a roach or cricket colony and have a pretty much unlimited supply. There is also some debate over whether regularly feeding mice to T's is a good thing or not. If you really want to feed mice and feeding a live mouse is a problem, would you be comfortable with a frozen thawed pinkie? Really they aren't bad at all. I've been a vegetarian most of my life and they don't bother me, though I don't feed them to my T's. I just don't think it's necessary and they are more expensive that other types of prey, plus my snake needs them more than the T's do!

my pokeys and H. gigas seem to enjoy the dubia though a couple seem to prefer the male roaches.

Large crickets and roaches work fine IME.

My blondi enjoys a big ole male hisser now and then. And an Orange Head or two. I also give her a frozen/thawed mouse occationally. Then, when shes done, she places the bolus in her waterdish... and if a soggy mouse bolus isnt the nastiest thing...
