Ok, I have decided to get a couple of these. I like the colors and how much it webs. The thing that I DONT like about these is how fast these can be. For those of you who have these is their a way to prevent escaping? With the inverts I have I allways use 10" 12" tongs for cleaning and feeding.

to prevent escapes while feeding the T or cleaning the cage? Cup the t before you do all this.

From what I've seen.. they, like every other T out there, only makes any real movement when you've disturbed them. I would imagine cleaning wouldn't be very hard unless you bump them or poke at them. Pore water in from the top if it's a mesh screen lid.

hmm

You would have to own one to know what its like. I personally have two. I generally feed them first and while they are busy eating I do the cleaning but thats just me. Cupping is a pain but if you want you can, they are your t's. They are fast and have a nasty bite. They will generally run to their webbed houses so just dont clean all the webbing but just the poo if it gets too bad as well as the dead crickets or roaches.

Well when I get them they will be 0.75". At that small will it be okay to use sow bugs to do the cleaning?

I wouldn't. As someone already said, you should have no trouble at that size and really don't need to clean too often. They will get big enough soon and then you can add the sow bugs. I don't ever add any other life forms with my slings that are the same size. Too much risk of harm. they grow fast anyway.

I like to clean my OBT's with a nice floral scented candle bath, then buff them to a mirror shine with a soft cloth. The Shamwow is ideal for this...

Sorry, couldn't resist :D

you realize there are focusing buttons on all digital cameras lol. About half use the function "Macro-shot" and "super macro shot" or some sort of thing like that. It helps..... Just saying lol..

just grab it and scrub it with a toothbrush . generally will clean any T. Of course you may get the heck bitten out of you but hey, if you want to clean your T...
