Feather leg?

i just got this lil buy from a friend he didnt know what it was it looks to me like a feather leg is this correct?




oh and if any of you out there whats your opinion on the sex?

That is a gorgeous female Eucratoscelus, pachypus you have there! 100%

Males are actually hard to come by these days. Have you had her long? she looks huGE! If she is gravid I will take a dozen slings, no kidding! Does she burrow or not?

I know in Australia the feather leg is Selenotypus plumipes which has the same hairy back legs

That looks like E. pachypus( Stout Leg Baboon )

I thought Feather Leg Baboon is Stromatopelma calceatum ??

Ditto on that being E pachypus/Stout Leg Baboon. Ditto on it being a female as males look dramatically different. Also ditto on her being fat and ditto on wanting slings.

Just... ditto.

FYI, they're very small and max out around 3-4" They will burrow like crazy and set up cool traps and pitfalls and stuff... ambush from below!

If that's pine bark she's on you should change it out. Pine has natural toxins that are bad for t's.

thats definitely a Eucratoscelus Pachypus. (stout leg baboon). its beautiful.

congrats on the e.pachypus...they are one of the more docile old world and baboon tarantula's keep it in alot of substrate..these dudes like to burrow

ok than you everyone its about 3in and i dont belive its gravid this was the only one they had but i'll keep a close eye on it if makes a sac you'll all know about. and yes i do have it in tank with plenty of digging space. and i wasnt sure on the species do to it very docile nature i figured OW and a baboon should be rearing up at me lol again thank you all for the responses.
