I am Suprised.....

That we got off to the wrong start :eek: We have similar interests in creatures :cool:
However, you should ask around.....Alotta info in sm. books can be off - But, it is plenty O.K. to feed Cresteds a large portion % baby food diet {various fruits}, to supplement w/ insects and vitamins......You think the Is. of New Caledonia, has dishes of Repashy's Diet on every branch :razz: Nope {D
Quality product 4 sure! But does not take credit, for the Boom in Crested Gex in the Hobby, since the late 90's....When I, along w/ many others, bred successfully :p I do Not know where this new Info/Myth came from, PROBABLY Allen Repashy himself :rolleyes:
{A varied diet, is ALWAYS best - IMO}
However, the Unsexed specimen you acquired, is a *nice* One! GL

Personally, I wouldn't feed baby food to my geckos. I've seen what a diet of baby food can do to a gecko (it isn't pretty!), and I don't want to take even the slightest chance of that happening to my animals. It might not be too detrimental to their health if you mix it with vitamins and other things, but I'd still rather not do it.
There isn't crested gecko diet found on New Caledonia, the Isle of Pines, etc I know, but the formula Alan Repashy created was based off of what he, Frank Fast, Philippe de Vosjoli and others observed them eating in the wild. In my opinion, it's better than the sugar-filled babyfood. Baby food is meant for babies, not geckos.
What Rhacs are you keeping/working with?

I have Transitioned from Reptiles 2 Arachnids

I have had many Gex {My favorite of all creatures} over 14+ years.....
Chameleons are a Blast, and equally as fascinating as Tarantulas to me.
I have had one of, feels like, Everything :cool:
Have bred successfully: Armored, Veiled, Sp. of Pygmy/Leafs, Jackson's, Panther Chams.....

Gex: Days - Lined, Peacocks, Gold-dusts, Leaftails - Henkeli, Ebenaui, Phantasticus :evil:
Frog-eyes, Leos, Cresteds, Sarasinorums {white-spots}, Vipers, Fat-tails, Wahls, Pictus :p and others.....Panther Gex & Leos were my favs though!

I have spoken in person w/ Philippe re: partial Baby food diets, and he still uses on occasion w/ Sarasinorums.......... infact, I saw him @ last Sac Show I went to :p great guy!

After ALL that....I am Not ready to take on Vorax & Leachies.....{space & $ issue} 1 day though......:rolleyes:
