Can anybody recommend what habitat I might look for to explore the amphibian and reptile population of New York.
I suppose any species of snake would be wonderful to see. I also saw we have our own monitors and salamanders those definitely would be cool to see too and finally any really colorful tree frogs if ny has them(didn’t really investigate). I live on Long Island so something close to home would be great. ThanksBest luck you'll have is around water. Lol
Are you looking for something specific?

Oops sorry not monitors skinksNot sure about long island.
New York and PA share a lot of the same species. Look around when the weather's warm. We have tree frogs. First I've heard of monitors.
If you google any state and insert type of animals, like herps etc, you’ll eventually find a state list from the DFW usually. That’s how I do it.Can anybody recommend what habitat I might look for to explore the amphibian and reptile population of New York.
