Those front-opening exo terras aren't great for terrestrial species - the doors and vents below them make it difficult to get a safe substrate height imho. They also (at least in the US) use a screen top which presents a hazard in that the T can get its tarsal claws stuck potentially leading to leg loss or fall injury.
Something that can tolerate a bit more vertical height (gbb or other heavy webber perhaps) may work out better, but you would still need to replace the screen with acrylic with holes drilled, so still not really ideal.
Perhaps other folks will suggest other suitable species which can work, but personally I'd pass on that for a terrestrial.

exo terras are my favorites, just replace the screen top with glass. the only real problem with them is that you cant use a deep layer of substrate, however you can create a slope and make a hide from something like cork rounds, or just some anchoring points for its web.

this youtube channel has some nice videos of exo terra setups

heres some good videos on how to replace the top

for the top you can either use acrylic/plexiglass or actual glass. acrylic is easier to drill but will warp from moisture. glass is harder to frill but wont warp

296EDF0F-3609-48A2-91AD-B25DE03BE684.jpeg I use the 12x12x12 for a lot of my 5-6inch brachys especially the ones who like to stay in their hide most of the time. Vagans, albo, etc. I find them even better for the dwarf species that like to roam their tanks. Everyone’s got their own opinions and you will have to find what works for you. Also the lighter dwarfs like this D. Pentaloris I really don’t worry about falling.

View attachment 331956 I know some people on this forum will flame me for it but I do not replace their mesh tops with acrylic and have yet to have any issues.
And you won't... Until you do.
You're right to expect you'll get flack for knowingly leaving screen accessible to a T, especially a terrestrial or fossorial. You're knowingly putting your T in danger... not only from catching tarsal claws, dangling, falling, limb damage/loss, but also danger from chewing through and its risks of fang damage and escape.

In a timely conicendence, Tom Moran just recently did a pod cast that included info about this. In it, he admits he was too lazy to replace the screen in one enclosure and thought the risks were very small... until one morning he found his spood dangling from two trapped toes! Thankfully, that spood was ultimately alright. Not all are so lucky.

At the very least , please don't encourage others to put their animals at risk. Please.

First off I didn’t encourage him to do it. I just stated what I do. I listen to Tom morans podcasts every week and do know what the risks are. I probably shouldn’t of said anything at all about it, for that your correct. I know when I first started, building your own enclosure stuff is the most intimidating part of the hobby. It is probably something I will do eventually. So yes do the correct thing and change those tops out. I edited the first post.

I think that building your enclosure is not intimidating, but rather one of the best parts about the hobby, its rewarding as hell!

it really isnt that hard and i HIGHLY recommend you to do it asap. it doesnt need to be super complicated, you could try and just get one piece of glass cut that fits the rim around the top and is thin enough to be secured with the twist clip things, instead of the top it comes with (if that doesnt make sense i can draw a picture).
