I'm going to be doing a big tarantula and invert presentation at a local Girl Scout Camp out weekend this October. I wonder how many screams i'll get when I pull some of my T's out to show. I'm planning on showing an Anatomy of a Tarantula diagram and talking all about how they live and what they do. I've done this before at a few local librarys but I've never done it in front of so many kids at once. I'm so excited because I've seen the childs eyes light up when I hold some of my kids and tell them about them. I can't wait. :p :}
I'm open to ideas but i'll be having 5 or 6 groups that's spread out through the day so I need to be more organized than before. Thanks.

No, it's not a big enough room to require a mic. That's why they split up the day to 5 or 6 different classes so I wouldn't have to take up an autotorium and I wouldn't have to talk so loud.

OOOH hey I'm a girl scout. Maybe I can do the same...

I'll bet you get fewer squeals than you expect. :)

I think you should Katy. It's great to see the wheels turning in their little heads and their eyes light up when you teach them something they didn't know.

That's really cool. I never realized how important spreading awarness about tarantulas was untill I was getting one and everyone started freaking out about my desire for a dangerous poisonous creature. I agree with Katy. You probably won't get as many screamers as you expect. Girl scouts are pretty tough.:D

I wish I were a girl scout so that I could see the presentation.;P

That's cool Jeremy. It's nice to think that someday through education like this people will have a better appreciation of these wonderful animals.
