I guess this is directed towards Wade and Raptor, or anyone who has kept 'unusual' inects. I caught a couple Northern pine weevils and I'm going to try to keep a small group of them. I cut a few piece of pine (some fresh, some dead) and put it in their container, as well as some foliage of the pine. Beats me if it will work or not, but I could use any tips if someone might have them??? :?

I've got now Hylobius abietis and two other species that develope in wood. I use the same substrate as you but I also added large pine roots. It should be humid, but not too much.
Weevils are difficult to breed. I had only few larvae that finished their whole life cycle. Adult beetles are great because they live for almost 3 years. I give them apples and other fruits.
