I was at the feed store and though why not, so I got some alfalfa cubes. I got home put them in water to expand them and this is what happened! 3 cubes (about 3 cups) gone over night!
Can anyone think of anything that might be bad? I only intend to feed them once every few weeks or so.

The only thing about the smaller Cubes of Alfalfa is the residual (VERY MINIMAL) ammount of Chemicals that COULD be or sometimes are left after processing, but if your roaches are all still alive, Then I wouldnt stress it!...Infact, I May End up Trying it!

I've Taken those cubes and fed them to my Sugar Gliders before...Figure if Horses and so forth can eat it, It shouldnt hurt them any...And it hasnt!

Ive been feeding my lobsters vegan table scraps. They love lettuce, cilantro, peppers (esp the hot ones! ), carrots, sprouts, etc etc. They also get turtle food for protein needs and some of our homemade rat food mix for general bulk carbs. I know my roaches and I am sure they would love alfalfa. :D

this is horsefood?

I might check it out then; there's a horse-stuff store not far from my job.
