European vipers in combat

Two males of Vipera berus, european vipers, in combat. Took this picture last year in May. Very nice to see in the wild!

Yes she was laying there watching those guys competing. They kept wrestling for quite a while, didnt care about us at all. I suppose they had other things in mind ;-)

Too bad i didnt have that cam with when i was ... kröhömm... *coughing* plockar blåbär *coughing* ... - it was one very beautiful and surprising big viper.

Very cool! I've combatted male Carpet Pythons in captivity for breeding purposes, but I've always wanted to see snake combat in the wild.
