I came home last night to a Tanner Beetle (Prionus coriarius) sitting by the outside front porch light. This of course is a European longhorn beetle - I live in N Florida!!
What!? Why!?
Perhaps yet another invasive species? I know they're quite common and distributed in Europe. Has anyone heard of them stateside?

Sorry for the fast pic

I found another one today that looks slightly different, but very similar.

Check with Bugguide - http://bugguide.net/node/view/139668 - this lists several US Prionus species.
Thanks Mat. I saw this too before I posted, but Fl? This one is Prionus californicus in the bugguide (i.e. California). I guess anything's possible in Fl. lol

You almost had me there, Beetle. lol! Baboons.. South Fl... I think I came across a few as well. lol I used to see them on the highway. They were always cutting me off with the South Florida Salute.

Anyway, I guess my European beetle discovery is not so uncommon here.
