Hello, I was wondering if using eucalyptus bark would be okay for the scorps. I noticed the bark carries oil that can stain the cement. Does anyone have any experience in using this kind of bark in their tanks???

Never heard of anyone using that stuff, if it's for an emp, why not do the peat/soil thing?.

No, don't use it. Eucalyptus plants carry a toxin that is harmful to most animals. Adult Koalas are one the mammals immune to the toxin's effects.

They may have found a way to get rid of the toxin to enable it for sale, but I still wouldn't trust it.

Oh yea, I want to use the large pieces of bark as hides for scorps. I thought they couldve been toxic because they stain everything.

nah, he's from CA right? i have them near me to, the toxins kill all little plants trying to grow under them, i find it quite interesting. maybe if u had a scorp from Australia it might not affect it :?

Don't use it...natural oils in it are not good for bugs...the same thing goes for cedar or other pine bark/mulch. The natural oils in these products can harm or kill you scorpions.
