Here's a spider I just recieved today. It's a Euagris sp. from San Antonio.

I suppose you mean Euagrus?Canth said:Here's a spider I just recieved today. It's a Euagris sp. from San Antonio.
Euagrus is a diplurid spider and not a funnel-web.Canth said:When the rock was flipped it had some kind of funnel burrow. So i guess it's a funnel web..
Well ok, yes, the word "funnel-web" is often used for diplurids aswell and not only some of the hexathelid genera.Canth said:My book on Texas Arachnids says Dipluridae are funnel webs.
Jonathan's link also says they're funnel webs.
Nice, Canth. What's the "potency" of their venom. I know very little about funnel webs, and I have some reservations about aquiring any.Canth said:Here's a spider I just recieved today. It's a Euagris sp. from San Antonio.
