Just a Thought? in regards of escape's..... Ok we all know about human error when it come to escape's... but how about T's that are just escape artist???? Have u ever owned a t that escaped his enclosure ot tries to break out all the time... or had a bad experience with an enclosure that was not to secure that it permitted an escape...

Yeah our only escape was my fault, too. I thought that our 1/2" Holothele sp. Norte de Santander was too big to get through his vent holes. I was wrong. We found him less than a week later in our closet.

Other than that, the only T's we've had actually try to escape is any MMs, but that's for an entirely different reason. I know that people have had big bulky Ts like LPs and C. crawshayis who are in kritter keepers break the plastic slats in the lids, but I hate kritter keepers with a passion, so luckily we don't have to worry about that.

I know theres a thread somewhere where one of the memebers, Anastasia I think, had a couple of Ts chewing through the wire mesh and getting out. I've also heard of crickets chewing through fiber mesh and the T getting out.

I think if your T is trying to escape THAT bad, and isn't a MM, you need to rethink their enclosure and modify things to make them more comfortable.

It's one thing to forget to lock the lid, and the T wanders out.. it's another thing to have a T CHEW it's way out lol At that point.. Keeping your Ts happy - you're doing it wrong lol

Some of my enclosures are really swiss cheese and I used to find my Pokies all over the place. But most of my Ts are actualy quite sedentary. My cat once knocked down the door to my P irminia enclosure. Found her the next day, flat on the wall one foot away!

The last typhoon in Manila knocked out some of my Tapinauchenius gigas plastic enclosures. 3 escaped and I was left with 1.
So now, the 3 of them could be living high above the small trees planted in our garden :) (wishful thinking) Still, It was my fault as I was out of town and did not anticipate the typhoon. Had I known, I would have put all the plastic enclosures inside our house.
