I just got a new female P. regalis from a friend. I didn't have a chance to put her in the bug room immediately, and left her by the front door. A departing guest showed some interest, so I opened the cage, planning to chase her into view briefly. Well, she got a little spooked, and shot out of the cage and onto my arm, proceeded to do a lap or two around my body, and almost made it into a closet full of coats, boots, etc. Finally, I chased her back near her cage and I guess she found a place which felt safe, because she decided to stop running around and chill for a while. I used the opportunity to get a few quick photos.
I also got a couple of decent eye-shots:
She posed for me, motionless, for about 30-40 minutes. I then took the cage off the bench, and set it on the floor with the opening facing the bench. Without even being prodded, she walked slowly back into the cage right away, and climbed nonchalantly back to her hiding spot under the wood. Honestly, I think she just wanted me to take her picture....
