Hi all,

I'm planning to get back into ornamental roaches and I've got an acrylic enclosure with plenty of 2mm ventilation holes on the sides and top. Seeing as I was planning on either emerald roaches (Pseudoglomeris magnifica) or Halloween hissers (Elliptorhina javanica) and they're both climbers I was wondering if the holes would be too big?

I'm not sure if a nymph will squeeze through that. But I will say I recently started a Halloween hisser colony, and the nymphs are fairly small, about 1/4 in. On length, not sure on width, they are small though. The adults don't seem to explore much outside of cover, but the nymphs on the other hand, I find on the lid of my enclosure everytime I open it. I just used a plastic bin with a silicone seal on the lid and hot glued screen on there for vent holes. I know it don't do much for your questions specifically, but they do explore quite a bit. So if you are unsure, I'd be cautious haha

Thanks, that's more or less what I've come to realize is the best course of action the more I think about it:)
