Hello guys I’ve been wanting a Eresus Walckenaeri for a very long time and bought one last night. I’ve never owned one and I’ve been doing my research. I read that they are a very dry species. I’ve been seeing housing videos of them and all and I haven’t came across one video showing a water bowl. With that being said I just wanted to know if they completely have to be dry? Will this not affect them molting? No water bowl? Other than that I got the husbandry down already just those are the main questions I have. If anyone knows these lil dudes well let me know something that is very important that I should know.

It is always recommended to study / research and get all your questions answered before buying / getting any live animals.

Below is the search results I got:

Thank you I have been doing research but that’s the only thing I was kinda worried about. Everyone covered that but I just idk I guess I’m just use to T’s that I figured keeping them dry can cause a bad molt. Thank you though.

I don't use any waterbowl for the past 12 years. From centipede, to various scorpions, jumpers, whipspiders, T's, ctenidaes, mantids and whatever was around, none of them cared at all.

They have hydrophobic web, droplets will stay for a very long time.
