This is my first time keeping this species, so I have a few questions regarding a group of slings I raised. They are all siblings to the best of my knowledge, which means the females are going to take a bit longer to mature. My male just matured, and I’m wondering how long he will live from here. The females are already nearly twice his size, but still have some growing to do. I wonder if I’m better off putting him up for loan rather than hoping the females grow quick enough to pair them.

Mature Male E. Walckenaeri is pretty uncommon in the hobby right now.
I have a Female I have been trying to pair for quite sometime with no luck of male.
In my opinion I would try to pair the fresh male.
Any pics?

Question.... I have 3 month old slings right now. What is the growth rate like with Eresus Walckenaeri? I know they mature slow but do they start doubling in size per month after a certain point?

@Phid Phan males often mature within the same year or after 1.5 years. Females, on the other hand... take closer to 3 years to mature.
Strap in, you're in for a long ride
