Enough ventilation to put tarantulas in corner of warm bathroom?

It's been so cold in the northeast, and my house heating zones are horrible. Absolute joke of an energy efficient house but anyway... I keep the house at 72 degrees Fahrenheit for the spides, but where they are stored gets cold and only reaches around 67 degrees Fahrenheit.

One of the warmest spots in the house gets 75 degrees but I am not able to put them in there due to sun exposure, so I went with the next best option which was the front bathroom. This room stays the exact temp on the thermostat, but I wonder if there is adequate ventilation in this room to keep these spiders happy. There is not much room in the bathroom, so I am trying to work with the space that is available. They are on a table in the corner of the bathroom, away from the heat vent. Since a good majority are arboreal that like cross ventilation, I am curious if you guys think this setup would work until spring/summer.

Bad idea, too much moisture peaking every day....unless of course you dont use the shower or turn on warm water.

either utilize a space heater or get a large aquarium, put your enclosures inside that and heat the larger enclosure with a heat pad.

There's no shower in this room, half bathroom.
Then it shouldn't be a problem. Momentary humidity from running hot water out of the sink shouldn't be a problem. That humidity will escape the minute you open the door.

Hell.........I move all my T's into the bathroom during Winter. I have them all on a metal shelf. It's small with a stand up shower. I also use a radiator heater with built in thermostat. Everyday I do the three S's, ( you figure it out).

Been doing this since I've had tarantulas. They all eat, molt and grow enormous. Never had an issue.

There are two critical things in Winter to do for anyone else that does this.
1. After done showering and finished in the bathroom leave the door a little open to vent it out if the bathroom is super muggy.
2. Move tarantulas out for a day or two when cleaning the bathroom.

The only thing my T's do not like is me turning the lights on. I also have my roach colony bin on a TV stand in there.

Be sure and Run the Fan to disperse anything noxious in nature.

I should have been clear that this bathroom is also barely ever used lol, I just wanted to see your guy's opinion on the area since it really is a small space in the corner. I definitely will keep the door open as well!

You can open the door to let humidity escape, but if it's a warm room, I'd keep it mostly closed.

Personally I think the arboreal enclosures are too tight and shouldn't have other enclosures on top of them. As a result you have diminished airflow to each. Backed by 2 walls, side vents limited by spacing, top vents limited by stacking.
It could work, but it poses some risk

I'm glad you caught that because that was my one of my main concerns. I have arranged them in a way where they aren't so close together and it seems to be alright so far. Too early to really see though.

I'd buy a small fan and having it blowing air around the back. Maybe a lower shelf and have near the corner, so air is flowing up along the back. Hopefully it helps with the venturri action

I just wanted to say, I love your setup! It looks so neat and clean :) I personally think a standalone warm room like this sounds optimal.

Re: fans, has anyone tried PC fans? I'd think it'd be a great way to manage ventilation. They've got strong airflow, a very low power draw (compared to, say, a desk fan), and are designed specifically not to cause a lot of vibration (which could bother the spiders). I'd imagine a single fan controlled at even 1/4 speed would be enough, but I'm not sure how hard it'd be to actually set up with a standalone controller.

Thank you for this! I try to keep everything organized.
I attached a new config I'm going to test out, seems to be working so far.
As you see the vent is close to the table but only gets to 74 degrees F near the first boxes and drops to 73 near the last box.

do the top smaller enclosures block ventilation on the ones they are on top of? I'd just set them in front.

They do not. The enclosures have drilled air holes on all sides but not the top.
