i know kraken wanted to see this actually happening and im sure some of the other members too. my favorite insect doin what he does best ;P sorry bout the large pics though.

Looks like a water scorpian or a Giant Water Bug......i know they must have a different name than that.

My guess Water Scorp.

looks like a water scorpion to me. speaking of giant water bugs, anyone know where to buy 'em?

its a giant water bug, i catch them wild here.

as to prey size, he only eats large prey, naturally they eat bull frog tadpoles, and he wont even bother with smaller prey, like ghost shrimp, guppies, and thing like that. goldfish size prey is it.

Your not worried he will get a disease from the goldfish, you know petstores they have dirty water alot of the time.

haha, if youd see the water around here that they live in...oil and garbage...all kinds of stuff. but the petstore i go to here is actually really nice, not so much a "bug" store, but their fish area is great, especially their saltwater tanks. so im not worried about it.
