I have a 1 1/4 to 1 1/2" G. Pulchra sling coming this week. Would it be OK kept in a 4" cube, or better to use a 6x4x4? The 4" is a bit under the 3x rule I see often, but I feel like I've been keeping my slings in enclosures that are too big for them.

Either. It isn't going to be hard to move, so 4" for now probably. Or just see what it looks like when it gets here... maybe they'll surprise you with 2"

You’ll know once you try the cube out as to if it has enough space . All mine vanished so I’ve had to start saving deli cups etc someone tossed my containers.

4 inch is fine make sure there's lots of sub pulchra like to dig especially slings and they take forever to grow so you won't have to worry about rehousing, it may take a while 😆
I would go 2.5 inches of sub a hide n cheap water dish because there is a good chance it will get buried and or filled with sub and you will have to replace it every week. Don't forget to keep the sub on the dryer side too, pulchra hate moisture of any sort hence the hatred of their water dish . I overflow the water dish once every month or so and it seems to work well for both my 2 inch sling Griselda and my 5.5inch male Morg.
Don't worry pulchra are a great starter t, they can be a little moody sometimes but they have great appetites, take ages to grow so you have them a long time regardless of gender, and they are often sat right out on display even as tiny slings. Plus they bulldoze everything which is infinitely interesting to watch imo.
Enjoy and gl to you both 😊

Mine started in a 5 oz condiment cup at that size:

From there, she moved to a 2"x3"x4" situation:

Only just getting ready to size up to something "real" after her molt almost two weeks ago.

This is great, thank you. This is exactly how I keep my GBB and Fireleg slings, and how I intend to keep my Cuban Bronze coming on the same day. I have tended to stick to dry species whenever possible.

As an update, the Pulchra fit fine in the 4x4 cube--though it checked out its cork hide and then proceeded to dig a hide in the corner of the enclosure, burying the entrance to the cork hide entirely. 😂. It barely uses the hide, though. The Auratus spent all day hanging out in its cork hide, and was out all night--but when I woke up this morning it has walled itself into the hide. 🤷‍♂️ Either shy or molting!

I am so glad they have settled quickly, I expected the pulchra to do that, mine have both buried the bark and made their own burrow but it's still good to offer it incase little one doesn't settle straight off, and I would go with moulting for your auratus, will come out all shiny and new 😊 keep the water dish full just incase 😉 Congratulations to you and your new baby's, sounds like they have fit in well 😊 gl to yous all 🙂

4x4 definitely will work well for a good little while!
