So my mother Emperor broke the tail of the father right before she gave birth about three weeks ago I separated them after the incident his tail is definitely broken/paralyzed but he has been highly energetic and actively hunting and eating since the injury which goes against all I've heard about this kind of problem. Has anybody else heard of a scorpion living a long time with a broken tail?

There are a lot of things that people think are a 'broken tail'. Can you post a pic for a reference.

If it is energetic, and actively eating, than I would just let him do his thing and try not to bother it too much. I would also not put it with another scorp again.

The reality is, there is nothing that you can do about it either way. If it is a serious injury, good chance it will die soon. However, emps rarely use their tails for anything. I have seen an emp sting one time in my entire time of keeping scorpions (10 years). So, it is possible it will continue to live on for a while if not too serious.

Post a pic so we can see what is going on.

If you can, OP, please post a photo of the emperor's tail. This would help all of us out a lot! It's true that if the tail is badly injured, there is a very low survival rate because it essentially severs their digestive tract. If it was a minor injury that won't interfere with his digestive tract, then he could survive, but otherwise he doesn't hsve a very good chance. There isn't really anything you can do, unfortunately. I hope he continues to thrive and the injury turns out to be minor!

?????? How about passing fecal matter??????
This is the only concern with a scorpion losing its tail, if I remember correctly. They can't poop and thus die. Feeding it often probably wouldn't be a good idea if this is the case.

Of course. I was directing my comment towards the hunting / eating aspect, as that is what the OP was posting about. Sorry for the confusion.
