So Im getting 2-3 emporor scorpions soon and I have a few questions. I plan to make a communal setup and I dont have many enclosures to use I have a plastic 45x30x12 cm and I was wondering was this too small or i can use a black ugly one that is 51x36x36, the black on is very tall and is black so its no see through, doesnt have a lid tho and doesnt look good plus applying heat pad will be a problem then. Next what size of a enclosure should I use so I can buy? And the humidity here is around 60-70%, I can increase the humidity to 80% by spraying. And for temperture it is around 70f at day and 51f at night, it is getting warmer and will increase quite much so I may need a heat lamp or heat pad. For food I get whatever in my backyard.
Any replies will be helpful!

No, no, no, and no some more, get store bought insects. (crickets, Dubia roaches, mealworms, superworms, hornworms, and waxworms).
You are going to need a 15 gallon tank if you're having three scorpions.
They need constant heat 72 to 75°F, they will need a heat mat.

Bugs in my backyard as mean crickets, cockroaches, these small worm things I see people feed, there aren’t a supply of insects to sell.

A lamp, or a heating pad... And this in Zambia, Africa (according to your profile info)? :pompous:

Btw a lamp is absolutely the worst thing to put inside/nearby an enclosure.

Ih ih ih

The problem of feeding wild caught insects to a captive breed arachnid is that you can't know if those bugs got contaminated with the various stuff present in the area, such some kind of chemical agents and other similar crap. It's like playing the Russian roulette.

My advice is to keep those separate. Isn't difficult to find something-plastic good-enough, as enclosure.

Feeding wild caught food can also transfer parasites and pathogens.

Ok people like you said there is simply no pet stores that I know of that sells bugs to feed so I’m trying to catch crickets and start a cricket farm and CHILLLLLL

Also people there are night lamps that doesn’t emit any lights and can heat the enclosure but I will use a heat pad. People gotta chill, you list absolutely every worst possible ways of keeping a scorpion just chill man
