I recently attempted to introduce a male emperor scorpion to my female for breeding purposes. I followed the approach of using a neutral enclosure for introduction. Initially, their interactions seemed positive.
However, after moving them to the female's main enclosure, their behavior changed significantly. The male attempted to enter her hide, resulting in aggression from the female trying to push him back out. There is a possibility he might have stung her during the encounter. To prioritize their safety, I have separated them.
I'm interested in breeding emperor scorpions and would appreciate any advice for a successful pairing. Here are some details about my setup:
Here is a video I made of them in the neutral enclosure meeting.

- Enclosure size and type: 18x18x12 inch ExoTerra with a large flat rock in the middle
- Substrate: Reptisoil with a drain layer of clay balls
- Temperature and humidity: about 80%
