Emperor feeding question

Do Emperors eat pinkys entirely, or do they, umm, leave a mess? I can't find the real small one I put in or any signs of it, but I don't smell it either. Haven't completely torn the cage apart, but so far I don't see it.

I posted earlier about the 6" male Emperor I bought three weeks ago that appears healthy and seems to behave normally but hasn't fed yet. I think I have the habitat pretty close to ideal now. Have tried cricks and large mealworms, from forceps and free-roaming. He's not interested. I decided to put a tiny pinky outside his hide since I figure he can easily grab it if he's interested. He didn't seem to come out of the hide at all last night. I checked on it a couple times in the night and the pink was still near the enterance and appeared barely alive last I saw it. But this morning it is apparently gone, and the scorp is still under his hide. Couldn't tell if he's fatter. Did you think he ate it or would I notice a mess by now?

I've been here 13 years and only seen three (two were tiny bark scorpions, one a Desert Hairy), one was on a porch and one in a bathroom. Have a black light and have been out in the desert looking several times and never seen even one. But I have several friends who live minutes away from me who have bark scorpion infestations in their houses and have cheese cloth over all their vents and still get them in their beds, crawling across the floor, etc. All depends on where you are. Lots of brown tarantulas though. I see dozens of them crawling across a dirt road near me at sunset for a good part of the year. Also plenty of rattlers out in the morning, occasional Gila Monster. Scorps and centipedes are much tougher to spot, at least for me.

If you can catch any of those Centruroides exilicauda try too and keep some they are very active and a overall great species. I am planning a vacation too either AZ,or NV too do some scorp hunting and see some sites. I am going too do research too see what species are out when I go hopefully I can hook up with someone from here.

He must have snarfed the pink cause it's been two days since I put it in and still don't smell it LOL. Wow, I thought he would leave some scraps but he must have chowed the whole thing. I know he was out last night too because he kicked peat into the water dish and smeared it all over the glass. Now if I can just get him to eat crickets...
