One of my new little ones is dying I think, but could be saved. It's the one I bought for my gf. I know this is T's but I need help ASAP.

PM me and I'll give you my number. More people are in this forum than the proper one and this is URGENT.

Please be understanding mods.

Help!!!

To go in to more details, I think i'm making progress. It looks like he got in to his Crested Gecko Diet stuff and it basically turned to concrete on him, all over his feet and legs etc. he cant move them. He's still breating, I've been soaking him in warm water/blow drying him. One leg seems to be working now.

God I hope pulls through.

Sorry for posting this in this forum I just was grasping at straws looking for anyone with experience, and this is the most visited forum.

:(

Put him in a small container with very wet paper towels, make sure there is ventilation and keep him warm. After about 30 minutes, try a bath again and you should be able to get all the gunk off.

I think he's dead. Gunk is gone, no movement, no breathing. :8o

man this sucks, what a crappy way to start out my gecko keeping career, i've got another one thats doing just fine though.

Yeah he is definitely dead now, the other one is doing great though. This one seemed slightly "off" since I got him yesterday. Luckily T Frank is an awesome guy and is going to replace him for me once some more hatch out :)

He's being cremated as we speak and then his ashes spread into a big lake

i keep mostly inverts, so i'm used to stuff dropping like flies. but for my few reptiles that do die they get fancy viking funerals.

That doesn't sound right at all, I'm pretty sure CGD shouldn't do that. :? I also don't think that would have killed him, but there's probably no telling what really did it now.

I'd just be careful if there are any other cresties in the house - thoroughly disinfect any shared equipment, keep a close eye on the other lizards, and so on. Good luck, and sorry about the loss! They're so cute as babies. :(

I had just got him in, had him less than 24 hours. T Frank is replacing him for me, what a cool dude!

Anyways, I dont think it was some mysterious disease because the other one I got from him is doing great, and there was no shared equipment and what not to worry about. I just think the shipping might have done something to him. From the minute I unpacked them he seemed "different" from the other one.

Yeah shipping can stress them out, and then with what ever else happend put him over the top is my guess.
