Emerald Cockroach Wasp Sales??

Howdy! So there's a type of wasp that I am VERY interested in, the Emerald Cockroach Wasp, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could happen to purchase one or two? I've been searching the internet for something and no luck! Thank you for reading

If by emerald cockroach wasp you mean Ampulex compressa, they are only really kept in Europe by enthusiasts and breeders with any regularity, so if you are in the US as your profile shows the chance of acquiring one is quite low; I too have been searching for specimens for sale for some time with no success.

I’ve only ever seen one person in the US with Ampulex. Hopefully they spread in time, but as mentioned before, odds of encountering them in the US market now are slim.

Yea i have a friend that breeds them here in Austria, you need to keep a colony of Periplaneta americana though to keep them alive through generations, which are incredibly annoying to keep, as they are an extremely successful pest and might even be banned depending on your location. He goes through great pains to keep them contained successfully. The wasps also don't live very long though it is incredible to watch them paralyse the roaches.

One of my friends here in the states keeps them, pretty sure he's the only one in the US with this species, and he just got his breeding group recently... Give it some time and I'm sure you'll be seeing more of them in the US hobby.
