I still want more species, however I am very happy with the new world species that I have right now. I started by going to buy one Lasiodora parahybana (Salmon Pink Birdeater) sling from Michigan Arachnid Breeders, but left with a Tliltocatl albopilsom (Honduran Curly Hair) as well. That should have been my first sign. I went to the pet store to buy something for my dog and left with a juvenile avicularia species. I am convinced it is an Avicularia juruensis, but I am not sure since it was just called a pink toe at the pet store.
Just recently I made an order for 7 slings. The species I bought were 2 more Lasiodora parahybana 1/4" slings, 1 Grammostola pulchripes (Chaco Golden Knee) 1" sling, 1 Brachypelma hamorii (Mexican Red Knee) 3/4" sling, 1 Tliltocatl vagans (Mexican Red Rump) 1/2" sling, 1 Aphonopelma chalcodes (Arizona Blonde) 1/4"-1/2" sling and 1 Aphonopelma hentzi (Oklahoma/Texas Brown) 1/4" sling. 102261461_256562922269469_4529440697437113201_n.jpg

Cool. Great choices for someone starting to establish a collection! You can't go wrong with the species you've chosen. I have a soft spot for spiders from the Lasiodora genus (my first was a L. klugi). You'll really enjoy watching them grow up into fluffy beasts. They LOVE to eat...they're like living trash compactors.
