Hey, so I found an alligator lizard with my friend a few months back. This little girl is pretty cool. The only reason why I know it is infact a little girl is because I found five baby alligator lizards crawling around its enclosure:eek: !!! Is there anyone who knows about this species? Are the young communal? I have already separated them from the mother but I have them all (the babies) in the same enclosure. Should I feed them all individually or should I throw a p.k. roach in there and let them have at it? They are currently about two inches from nose to tail. Anything helps.

Well ive kept one, Matix recently died tough:(, well for one they lay eggs so did you just see the little ones or did you know already? there really kool to keep around he would eat all my dead crix but i would feed him live ones to. They have a big appetite and if wild caught they tend to bite. Your lucky those little ones will get used to being handled and wont bite. AND TRUST ME THEY BITE HARD. if you have any q' email me at abyss_x3@sbcglobal.net, or pm me

they actually have live young. yes seperating is good. they are ok in teh same enclosure for a while until they start getting bigger. feed them live bugs and provide the usual cool/warm spots and hides etc etc. standard reptile husbandry, bu thtese guys are not so hot demanding.

crickets, worms, other random buggies are all good food. PK may not be taken.

Sorry for the mistake MOST of these kinds of lizards lay eggs. But yeah bugs, when they get older they make great desposers ass there not picky about whether the food is alive or not. But yeah right now stick to small arachnids, if they cant eat it neutralize or prekill the prey.
